The nose is the central feature of the face. The nose captures the first glance and leads the viewer to focus on the eyes where communication is established. Should the nose cause pause in this process it may be do to an overly large nose with one or several aspects that contribute to “unattractiveness”.

A rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure which alters the appearance of the nose and when indicated an improvement in breathing.

Proportions of facial features

Today’s candidate for nasal surgery seeks improvement in their facial appearance. An attractive nose contributes to an enhanced overall look. Correction of an aesthetic or functional defect of the nose may be due to genetics, sport injuries and accidents resulting in a disfigurement. Correction of difficulty of nasal breathing and enhancing function secondary to a nasal septal deviation may be required.

It is an established fact that often a subtle rhinoplasty surgery results in a significantly changed appearance. Usually a minimal alteration, in terms of millimeters results in a dramatic difference in the appearance of the entire face.
