You have many choices when it comes to improving the look of aging skin. We have provided a list of the injectables (fillers, volumizers, botulinum: Botox ®, Dysport ® Xeomin ® ) and lasers that Dr. Moynahan offers. The cosmetic use of botulinum (Botox ®, Dysport ® Xeomin ®) is to improve and soften wrinkles of the face such as frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. It is also used to treat smoker lines of the lips, jowls, bunny lines, apple dimpling of the chin and muscle bands of the neck.

Lasers

The fractionated laser is used to re-texturize facial skin through treating lines and wrinkles in selected areas or the entire face. It can result in a smoother and refreshed appearance. Hyperpigmented lesions as freckles, age spots, melasma (the mask of pregnancy) respond well to laser treatment. Laser therapy is used on red spots which are broken capillaries and angiomas, tattoos and hair removal.

Fillers & Volumizers

Restylane, Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft, Juvederm XC, Juvederm XC Ultra Plus, Voluma XC, Belotero, and Radiesse fill and plump deep lines of facial expression like marionette folds. They fill in hollows of the cheeks, superficial and deep lines and wrinkles and folds of the face such as “nasolabial” and “marionette”. The use of fillers and volumizers can re-contour the jawline and minimize jowls. Fillers are used to defining and plump the lips.
