Dr. Moynahan is among a distinguished group of women who have achieved double board certification –American Board of Surgery (ABS) and the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) – and is a member of numerous medical and plastic surgery societies. She is an attending physician at Lenox Hill Hospital and Manhattan Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital (MEETH) in New York City as well as Waterbury Hospital, Saint Mary’s Hospital and Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center in Waterbury, CT.
Dr. Moynahan has authored numerous articles and books and has participated in many plastic & cosmetic surgery research projects. She has lectured extensively at prestigious universities in this country and in China,Pakistan, and Europe. Dr. Moynahan has been recognized as a leading surgeon in Strathmore’s Who’s Who, Consumer Research Council of America, America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals, Top 100 Irish Americans of the Year- The Best and the Brightest Irish in America, The American Business Women’s Association, and has served as a Past President of The New York Regional Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
Dr. Moynahan was a pioneer in the art and science of liposuction. Before lipectomy became routine in this country, Dr. Moynahan studied under Dr. Yves Illouz, the surgeon innovator of this procedure in Paris. Her extensive research enabled her to anticipate advances in liposuction technique and apply them in her practice to achieve maximum benefits for her patients. Dr. Moynahan’s humanitarian efforts include her participation in and support of concerted efforts to relieve the plight of underprivileged children.

Over her preeminent career, Dr. Paula A. Moynahan has successfully treated thousands of patients (including many celebrities) in her New York City and Middlebury, CT offices. Both locations offer a wide array of cosmetic procedures for men and women. Surgical procedures include facial plastic surgery; breast augmentation, reduction, and lifting; abdominoplasty (tummy tuck); and liposuction (contouring of the face and body). Minimally invasive procedures include laser treatments, Botox, and fillers.
